3 DAY FRASER ISLAND 4WD SAFARI

Sand Island Safaris is a tour specially set up for small groups. There is no other tour company that operates out of Hervey Bay that specialises in small personalized groups. They have a unique itinerary.   DAY ONE: Departing Hervey Bay from River Heads across to Wanggoolba Creek then driving across the island to Central Station, where lies the best of the Rainforest area on the Island. You will enjoy an hours walk through Central Station and Pile Valley, then returning to the bus for morning tea, before heading across the island to Eurong Beach Resort. You will then enjoy a delicious lunch in the dining room at the Resort, before heading off up the beach for a fun filled afternoon sliding and rolling down Hummerstone Sand Blow into the crystal clear waters of Lake Wabby. Late in the afternoon you will return to Eurong Beach Resort for relaxation and your evening meal in the dining room. After your evening meal, it is down to the Beach Bar, where you can enjoy a few drinks, have a game of pool while listening to the juke box, or make your own entertainment on the Karoke machine.   DAY TWO: Starts with you guide preparing your continental breakfast. After breakfast we head up the beach to Champagne Pools and Indian Head. On the way we stop at Eli Creek for a swim and a walk also taking in photos stops at Maheno Shipwreck and Coloured Sands. On arrival at Indian Heads your guide will prepare a delicious barbecue lunch whilst the group are enjoying the magnificent views from the headland. Most times you will see sharks, dolphins, mantarays (and whales when in season), in the crystal clear waters below. After lunch we head off the Champagne Pools for a refreshing swim, before heading back to the resort/or dinner and another fun filled night at the Beach Bar.   DAY THREE: After your continental breakfast, we head down the beach to Dilli Village, and up through the scenic lakes drive through Lake Boomanjin (largest lake on the island), and then onto Lake Birrabeen where you will enjoy a chicken and salad lunch, along with a swim and games on the beach, before heading back past Lake Jennings to the barge for your return trip home.   Tour 1: Departs Hervey Bay every Tuesday and Friday (2 nights accommodation at Eurong Beach Resort maximum 16 people).
